Opticon 224 - Fracture Sealer

OPTICON 224 is a material and a method for sealing fractures in flat or curved and polished or unpolished surfaces. The process enables the elimination of fracture reflection and structural weakness, and in addition accomplishes the filling of pits. OPTICON 224 resin is light amber clear and when heated to low viscosity it has the property of high penetration of fractures - much like glycerin or oil. Unlike the latter instead of a temporary disguise it is a permanent remedy. The virtue of the process may well be demonstrated by treating one of a pair of slabs. Can be used with petrified wood. Refractive index is 1.545.
